"Immortality has been the goal of mankind since the beginning of time. We sing of it in song and write of it in legend. We strive for it because we fear death and the uncertainty it brings. Everlasting life is the holy grail of both science and religion.

But what if we really achieved that goal?

Now, the world watches as the last man who will ever die slowly slips away. His is the last heart to stop beating. His is the last time breath will cease.

What happens now?"

1. Explore more than just the sci fi genre.
2. It doesn't *have* to be set in the future - surprise us. Think beyond the obvious.
3. No "personality downloaded into new body" stories please.
4. No immortal vampire or werewolf stories

We're looking for stories up to 6000 words. I will update with the pay scale as soon as I solidify it with my co-editor. We will most definitely be paying a flat rate. We'll also be accepting reprints for this publication. Please nothing newer than two years.
